Obituary for Daniel Eric Cogdill

SUMTER – Daniel Eric Cogdill, 25, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.

Born July 7, 1993, in Sumter, he was a son of Clinton Eric Cogdill and Tamara Henrietta Chestnut Cogdill. He was a farmer and member of Summerton Baptist Church.

He is survived by his parents of Manning; fiancée, Megan Beatson of Manning; two sisters, Janie Cogdill and Anna Cogdill, both of Ladson; paternal grandmother, Mona Plyler (Danny) of Sumter; maternal grandmother, Rosa Chestnut of Folly Beach; and paternal grandfather, Ralph Cogdill (Monica) of Eastman, Georgia.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Clarendon Hall School with the Revs. Brian Magaw and Billy Carlisle officiating. Burial will follow in the Cogdill Family Cemetery, 13567 Panola Road, Pinewood.

Pallbearers will be Will Jenkinson, Anthony Merinelli, Hunter Hodges, Trey Fleming, Davis Patrick and Cameron Cogdill.

The family will receive friends at the home of his parents, 2844 Lucien Brailsford Road, Manning.

The family asks that you continue to remember them in your prayers. Daniel will be missed greatly.
