GOOSE CREEK – Ruby Richburg Von Mutius, 69, widow of Walter Von Mutius, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Trident Regional Medical Center in Charleston.
Born November 18, 1940, in Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Louis Henry and Ida Haley Richburg. She was a 1958 graduate of Manning High School, organist at St. Timothy Lutheran church, where she was a founding member and the first music director.
Surviving are two sons, Karl Louis Von Mutius and Wayne Grant Von Mutius of Goose Creek.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Gregory Von Mutius.
A graveside service was held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, in Manning Cemetery, with the Rev. Al Potter officiating.
A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. Monday in St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Goose Creek, with Pastor Brad Bellah officiating.
