GREELEYVILLE – Katherine Jones Goins, 79, widow of James Dewey Goins, died Monday, April 19, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning.
Born June 27, 1930, in Hartsville, she was the daughter of the late Byges Brooks and Bessie Miller Jones. She was a member of Goins Independent Holiness Church.
Surviving are five sons, Jimmy Goins, Ronnie Goins (Sue), Bobby Goins (Julia), Pete Goins (Rita), and William Goins (Sara); a daughter, Patricia Ann Haselden (Randy) all of Greeleyville; special friends, Rita Gayle Goins and Howard Goins; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, and a son, James Elree Goins.
A graveside service was held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Goins Cemetery in Greeleyville, with the Rev. Veretha Cribb and the Rev. Mary Davis officiating. Pallbearers were Allen Purvis, Donnie Liggon, Wayne Dennis, Ricky Evans, Tommy Evans, and Lonnie Baxley.

Nana was an amazing strong woman! She was caring & always had a good heart! I'm not glad she's gone, but I'm assured she's not suffering anymore! and that she's in a much better place than any of us!
