 CONDOLENCES

Lewis was and always will be a true friend of mine who always carried with him a heart that was as big as he was. This morning our father came and took Lewis to his new home in heaven to wait for us to join him later. In my 35 years of law enforcement I have served with many brothers but some of the best years were spent with S.C. Trooper Cpl. Lewis F.Jackson and later Deputy Jackson who served his state and county with honor and was a true example of a man. The time with Lewis that I know will never be forgotten is some twenty years ago when I lost my brother Mike in a vehicle accident Lewis came to me and gave me comfort and even through he was a giant of a man in his eyes and words I could see his heart was pure and his compassion was real. In the coming days and weeks your wife, children, and many friends and those of us in Law Enforcement who had the honor of serving with you will miss the man who touched the hearts of many. Rest well my friend and know that I will cherish our friendship forever.

Brandon and family, We are so sorry for your loss.  I never got the pleasure of meeting your dad, but I know from what you talked that he was a GREAT man.  Even though we are 400 miles away and are not able to be there for you in person, just remember you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sorry to learn of the death of my dear friend, Lewis Jackson.  We worked together for many years in the judicial system and I always found him to be a man of honor, compassion, and caring for his fellowman.  His work ethic as a law enforcement officer was beyond reproach.  It was my pleasure to work with him and I am truly saddened by his death.
