If ever there is truth to the saying, "It takes a village to raise a child", it holds true in the character of Mr. Charlie Singleton.  When my children's father was suddenly killed in a car accident, leaving me with two small kids to raise at the age of 24, Charlie and Gwen Singleton stepped up to the plate and provided me and my family with food, clothes but mostly love. You looked beyond the color of my skin. I thank God dearly for the two of you being in my life and helping to mold me into the person I am today. My children are better today because of the lessons you and Mr. Charlie taught them. My youngest son is proud to share his name. I love you MS. Gwen forever and I will always hold close to me the memories of my friend, Mr. Charles Singleton. May God keep you in his care.
