MANNING – Addie Brogdon Gamble, 90, widow of Robert Eugene Gamble, died Friday, Feburary 5, 2010, at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.
Born October 14, 1919, in the Brogdon Community of Sumter, she was the daughter of the late Allard Memminger and Susan Ida Stukes Brogdon. She was a member of Manning United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Carol G. Ingram and her husband Buck of Sumter; two sons, Robert E. Gamble, Jr. of Pawleys Island, Lynn Brogdon Gamble and his wife Lila of Wedgefield; a brother, Randolph Brogdon and his wife Frances of Myrtle Beach; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home in Manning, with the Rev. Debra Quilling Smith and the Rev. Phil Ross officiating. Burial was in Manning Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Chuck Ingram, Chris Ingram, Craig Ingram, Rob Gamble, Michael Gamble and Brian Gamble.
